Doctors and public health officials are bracing for an onslaught of new cases from people exposed before the border and social distancing measures began.
B.C. says it 'looks forward to further discussions about additional actions to increase plasma sufficiency' in reaction to a deal struck between Canadian Blood Services and an international for-profit plasma provider. Being paid to donate blood or plasma in the province is prohibited.
Veterans Affairs Canada says a single employee suggested medical assistance in dying (MAID) to four veterans, and that the issue is not widespread in the department. A report on the issue said Veterans Affairs will increase training on MAID.
