2,000 patients have been transferred around Ontario to free up beds — but it's taking a toll

Since the start of this year, more than 2,000 patient transfers have taken place across Ontario, including many without family consent. While the policy may be helping boost hospital capacity in regions with surging COVID-19 cases, it's also taking an emotional toll on families and health-care workers.
